Directions

Play-doh is my absolute favorite sensory material.  There’s something so satisfying about squishing and molding it between your fingers!  And the kiddos love it too, bonus!

You won’t believe how easy this sensory play activity is to create.  Simply have your child choose their favorite color of play-doh.  Let them get their hands dirty by squishing and rolling the play-doh into long worm shapes.

Add some letter W’s to help reinforce that W is for Worms.

If you’d like, you can add some other objects like rocks or garden toys for the kids to play with.  Let their imaginations run wild.  And that’s it!  Have fun with it!

Make It A Game

Try hiding all the letter W’s in the play-doh and have the kids try to find them all!

Sneak In Some Learning

As your child is playing, try asking questions like:

“What letter are we learning about today?”

“What sound does the letter W make?”

“W is for what?…. Worms!”
