A PIZZERIA QUIET BOOK THAT YOU CAN MAKE

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that keeping kids quiet and entertained can take some creativity.  Quiet Books may just be the perfect solution!  They’ve quickly become my family’s favorite form of entertainment.  We take them everywhere with us – long trips, restaurants, doctors offices – anywhere I need the kids to be calm and quiet.

And I’m incredibly excited to share with you my brand new Pizzeria Quiet Book.

[ENROLLMENT FOR THE PIZZERIA QUIET BOOK WORKSHOP IS NOW OPEN!]

    Pizzeria Quiet Book

This portable, handmade book is made using colored felt, cotton fabric, and a combination of other materials—including snaps, buttons, pull strings, and magnets—that children can interact with.

It includes three different pages. A pizzeria storefront page, a dining area page, and a pizza box page with a removable pizza!

    Pizzeria Storefront Page

The pizzeria storefront page features an interactive door that opens to reveal several balloons, and a cat that can be moved from side to side behind the restaurant window.

    Pizzeria Dining Area Page

The pizzeria dining area page features in interactive scene with removable boy and girl figures, an interchangeable chef hat, and a table that they can sit behind.  The pizza peel can unsnap from the wall, and once the oven door is opened, it can be used to remove the mini pizza.  Within the mini pizza is a small magnet that can be attached to the oven fire or the table top.  To the right of the page, take a turn making the boy eat his spaghetti by lifting the lid of the pot above him, which pulls the spaghetti through the boy’s mouth.

Pizza Box Page with Felt Pizza

Lift the lid of the pizza box page to reveal a play pizza with toppings.  Made with felt and embroidery floss, the toppings include pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, olives, green peppers, red peppers, and broccoli.  Plus four slices of pizza crust, red tomato sauce, and yellow cheese.  Build your own felt pizza, any way that you want!
