LACING SHAMROCK: ST. PATRICK’S DAY CRAFT FOR KIDS

Updated: Dec 11, 2019

Get out your green.  St. Patrick’s Day is almost here!  And lucky for you I have a super-fun St. Patrick’s day craft that will get the kids into the holiday spirit.  This lacing shamrock is great for practicing fine motor skills and makes an adorable decoration when you’re finished!  And it’s so easy to make, with just a paper plate, paint, and ribbon.  How easy is that!

Supplies

Directions

Paint your paper plate green.  Let it dry

Cut your paper plate into a shamrock shape.  I drew mine on a piece of paper first to make sure it was the size and shape I wanted.  Then I traced it onto the paper plate.

Punch holes along the edge of the shamrock.

Lace your ribbon through the holes.

Lastly, tie a piece of string to the top of the shamrock so you can hang it.

Make your own lacing shamrock

A great way to teach eye-hand coordination and practice fine motor skills, this lacing shamrock craft is super fun for little ones.  And it makes a great St. Patrick’s day decoration!
