Superheroes seem to be everywhere you look these days! And Captain America is a favorite among kids. If you’re throwing a birthday party for a little Captain America fan, I have some super ideas to get you inspired today. From DIY birthday banners, to handmade cupcake toppers, to customized Captain America clothing! Get ready to throw a party that’ll impress all your superhero-loving guests, and have a blast doing it!

Encourage guests to dress in their own superhero costumes. But for those who don’t own a costume, turning any ordinary shirt into a Captain America shirt is easy to do! Use red, white, and blue felt. Cut out various-sized circles, and a white star. Glue them together with a hot glue gun. Then use safety pins to attach your handmade shield to any shirt to make it a Captain America shirt!
Use red, white, and blue construction paper to make a Captain America themed birthday banner. In addition to your “Happy Birthday” lettering, try making small shields and using American flag patterns on the banner.
String it all together with colored ribbon. And complete the look with red, white, and blue balloons on either side to give it that extra pop!
You could also create smaller banners without any lettering to use as additional décor around the party.
Make a Captain America shield fruit platter. Use a large, round pizza pan, and decorate it with blue and red fruits (like blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries), and white marshmallows.
When you’re ready to sing Happy Birthday, offer your guests Captain America themed cupcakes! Use red, white, and blue construction paper to cut out tiny shields and masks. Glue a toothpick to each, and use them as adorable cupcake toppers!
Give any of these ideas a try at your own Captain America themed birthday bash. Your guests will surely be impressed and you’ll end up feeling like a party-throwing superhero!
